We woke up on Easter Sunday looking for a new adventure. I did a quick google search for dog friendly hikes and stumbled upon Henry Cowell State Park in Felton, California (right near Santa Cruz). We packed up our car, minus shoes for Curly Cub. Oops! Luckily a Payless Shoe Source along the way saved us. We had a lovely picnic, did some hiking, enjoyed the majesty of a Redwood Grove, and stumbled upon the Roaring Camp Railroad, a mini amusement area and train stop. The train ride is 1.5 hours and not dog friendly, so we skipped that. But, we will return!
Here are some pictures from our day . . .

Fun With Little Ones: Hidden Villa
We just started a Toddlers on the Farm series at Hidden Villa in Los Altos Hills. Charlotte loved being around the older kids. It is so darling to watch her try to keep up with them. She is a social one. She wasn't so sure about the animals. She was happy to watch them while in my arms, but was not interested in facing them alone. Hidden Villa is a great local resource. They have classes and camps for all ages...even cheese making classes for adults!

Fun With Little Ones: Rodin Sculpture Garden at Stanford
The Curly Rosens are always searching for fun new activities to do as a family. Bonus points if dogs are allowed. The Rodin Sculpture Garden gets high marks. It's free. It's gorgeous. You can bring a pup. There's a tasty organic cafe run by Jesse Cool of Flea Street fame. We explored the Garden over the weekend and we will definitely be back. Next time, we'll bring a picnic basket and enjoy the scenery for a whole afternoon. Errr, I mean, as long as Curly Cub will let us!
