We had a very fun evening in the Curly Rosen house last night. We had dear friends Josh and Kate over for some good old-fashioned pizza making. We used a great wedding present -- a pizza stone that goes on top of the BBQ. We got California creative with a brie and grape pizza. We had a spicy meat pizza, a pesto veggie pizza, and a "hodge podge." All were delicious. The hardest part? Flattening the pizza dough with no rolling pin and limited pizza tossing skills. Vegetarian Recipes?
With all of the news about pink slime, mad cow, and the China Study, I am interested in learning how to cook more delicious, protein-rich vegetarian meals. I'm not ready to dive into full vegetarianism, but I could imagine cutting out meat for many days during the week. I don't want to be stuck eating bread and pasta for every meal. Planning a Turkish Journey
Chad and I made a list this weekend of all of the places (both international and domestic) where we would like to travel. It is long. Highlights include: a trip to Chile, with some Santiago time with the Pardinis and some adventure time in Patagonia; a Southeast Asian excursion focused on Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos; a pasta-filled getaway to Italy with a strong emphasis on the Amalfi Coast; and an Alaskan adventure, perhaps including a visit to Sarah Palin's infamous hometown.
But first -- Turkey! We will be traveling to Turkey this June. These pictures are getting me inspired and excited. Feast your eyes!

Does anyone have tips for traveling in Turkey? All advice and thoughts welcomed.
